Grew up in Augusta, MO (St Charles County) and didn't move far from home.
I live in the Washington area with my wife, Diana, and 4 daughters - (Yes, I
know I have many weddings to pay for) I graduated from SMSU with a degree in
Accounting. Spent most of the 1990's as a 'Certified Financial Planner'.
Wasn't a stock market kind of guy, so I moved on to real estate investing.
Since 1989, I have been buying real estate here and there. From
1993-1996 I spent most of my time rehabbing an 1860s brick building and turning
it into an office building in which I had my financial planning business.
Although I grew up rehabbing with my father, that office building gave my the
knowledge I needed to rehab most any building out there.
In 2003 I sold my half of the office building and became a full-time real
estate investor. Mostly purchased REOs, fix them, and tried to sell them.
I have purchased HUD, REO, Individual properties, and other investor properties.
From 2003 - 2006 I average a deal every month and a half. I have purchased
properties using many different methods.
I have bought and sold properties using the following methods:
- REOs or bank owned

- Lease / Option
- Simultaneous closings
- Using 1031 exchanges
- Wholesaling
- Buy, fix and sell
- With partners
- Using IRA funds
Since I have a background in financial planning I discovered ways to use a
Self-Directed IRA or ROTH IRA to purchase investment properties. Very
beneficial because ALL the profits go back into your IRA without a tax
liability.
Along the way I meet Don Johnson and purchase property from him and he sold
properties for me. In 2007 when the market starting changing I began using
my internet marketing knowledge pretty seriously to market my properties.
(too bad most of the loan dried up) but the interesting thing was that, of
all the properties Don had, my properties were the ones that people called on.
In 2008 I started doing internet marketing for other businesses and Don's
site. When he joined with Therese and Ashley in the spring of 2009, I was honored
that they wanted to include me. What they have created is fantastic.
Each person brings a piece of the puzzle to the team.
Yes, I'm the internet marketing and systems organizing piece of the puzzle.
This allows them to keep doing and learning the ever changing world of real
estate and I focus on the ever changing world of internet marketing.
The marketing plan that we have created is second to none. Nobody gives
their clients as much exposure online as we do. (I'm very proud of that).
Don and I will be handling most investors. While I'm not a licensed
realtor and can't talk about an individual property, I'm happy to answer
questions on how to invest in real estate or how we market your properties.
